●プレゼンテーションの内容（東海道五十三次）
There are 53 stations between Nihonbashi and Kyoto. There are some of sightseeing spots on the route. With the height of 3776 meters, Mt. Fuji is Japan’s highest mountain and a symbol of Japan. Although it’s an active volcano, it last erupted more than 300 years ago. Mt. Fuji is world-famous for its almost conical shape and the beautiful mountain. Kyoto has many sightseeing shrines and temples. Kinkakuji-temple is a three-story building. It’s called the temple of the golden pavilion. Also Kiyomizu-temple is famous for its wide veranda and tall poles. Other shrines are Heian Shrine and Yasaka Shrine.

（A）Is there other route than Tokaido?
（私）There were 5 major routes in the Edo Period. Koshu-kaido is from Tokyo to Yamanashi.
（A）How long does it take to walk the route?
（私）It’s a very long mileage, so people usually ride Shinkansen. In the Edo Period, people walked the pass for about 2 -3 days.

●プレゼンテーションの内容（草津温泉の特徴と行き方）
草津温泉の特徴とその行き方について説明します。草津温泉は群馬県の中央部に位置しています。特徴と言えば「湯もみ」が有名です。湯もみは沸騰している状態に近いとても熱いお湯を温泉として入るためにちょうど良い温度にするために行われます。湯もみは建物の中で行われ、薄く長い棒を持った女性が草津音頭（？）という歌を歌いながらプールに入ったお湯を混ぜて行きます。

では、次に草津への行き方を説明します。草津へは電車でも行くことが出来ますが車で行くのが良いと思います。東京からは高速道路を利用して３時間半ほどのドライブで行くことができます。
●質疑応答の内容
すべてネイティブの試験官からでした。
Ｑ１.日本語には漢字というものがあるが、漢字で「草津」とはどういう意味です？
Ａ１.「草」はgrass、「津」は確かではないが、place where water is です。
Ｑ2. 先ほど、草津は群馬の中央にあると言っていましたが、そこから行ける他の場所はありますか？
A2. 草津のすぐ近くに「草津国際スキー場」という有名なスキー場があります。草津周辺のホテルからであれば無料の送迎バスも出ているので、便利です。
Q3.スキー場まではどれくらい時間がかかるの？
A3.ホテルの位置にもよりますが、だいたい10～15分くらいです。
Q4.先ほど「湯もみ」について説明していましたね。もう少し詳しく聞かせてください。長い棒をお風呂に入れると言っていましたが、その中に人は入っているのですか？
A4. いえ、プールの中のお湯はとても熱いお湯なので、入ることはできません。人が入れる水の温度にするため棒で混ぜてお湯に空気を入れて冷ますのです。「湯もみ」のお湯には入れませんが、湯もみをする場所はシアターのようになっていて、座席があるので「湯もみ」を見学することはできます。運が良ければ、体験もできるので挑戦してみてください。私も経験しましたが、とても楽しいですよ。

仕事が忙しく、十分な勉強ができていたとは言い難いですが先生から届くメッセージや直前に要点を詳しくまとめた資料の公開などが非常に良かったです。
また、二次対策では「300選」を購入したのに加え、何よりも無料で行ってくださった模擬面接が非常に役に立ちました。2回もやっていただけるとは夢にも思わなかったので
先生の「ありえへんサービス」に頭が下がる思いでした。１回目の面接では採点ができないほどボロボロの出来でしたが、二回目には先生から「合格」の二文字をいただくことができて本番に向けての自信となりました。
先生、本当に何から何までご教授いただき、ありがとうございました。

Kusatsu hotspring is located Gunma prefecture. It has a long history hotspring resort. There are many Ryokan, Japanese traditional inn and Minsyuku, traditional Japanese inn. There are hotsprings which are located outside and indorrs.Its easy access from Tokyo. You can take Shinkansen or local train to Jomokogen or Shibukawa and change train to get there. You also use a rental car.
ここまで言って終わろうと思いましたが、まだ時間があるような感じだったので..。「草津良いとこ一度はおいで」と歌を歌いました。
This is a special song for Kusatsu hotspring. So Kusatsu hotspring is special for Japanse.
●質疑応答の内容
・民宿のbudgetについて
・通常、民宿のbudgetには何色含まれているか→2食（夕食と朝食）
・民宿では何が食べられるか（提供されるか）→山に近いところは、今ならしいたけや川魚、海に近いところだと新鮮な海の幸

本日無事に2次試験を終了することができました。ハローに通学していたのが、たぶん20年くらい前だと思います。大学生の頃にダブルスクールで受講をしていました。高校卒業後に英語の勉強を始め、英語をしっかり勉強するためには、通訳案内士を目標にしよう！と考え受講をしていまましたが、英検2級程度でハローの勉強にまったく歯が立たない日々でした。その後、仕事をしたりなんやかんやで忙しい日々を過ごし、頭の中には通訳案内士の取得をしなければ当初の目標が達成できないと思い、たまに受験して不合格いつかは取得できればと思っておりました。しかし、今年ＴＯＥＩＣにより英語が受験免除となりこのようなチャンスはないと、昔のハローの教材を引っ張り出し、植山先生のメルマガを読み、1次試験を突破することができました。
しかし正直、2次試験に集中ができず唯一真面目に読んでいたのは、先生からのメルマガだけでした。2次試験で行ったのは、ひたすら「300選」を聞くことと、メルマガに出ていた予想問題や過去問を自分の言葉（英語）でまとめて、ひたすら読んでいました。
今日を振り返るとラッキーな事が続いたと思います。まず昭和女子大だったということと、前が大きな声の男性だったので話している内容がほぼわかりました。
受験時刻も16：30の最終回だったために、朝からハローのブログをチェックしてどのような出題傾向かを考えることができました。あとは、先生から頂いたアドバイスにあるホスピタリティの精神と話続けることを念頭に置き、歌を唄ってでも沈黙をなくそうと努力できました。
今になって自分の試験を冷静に思い出そうと思っていても頭の中が真っ白でほとんで思い出せないです。相当緊張をしていたのだと思います。しかし、やはりなんといっても植山先生の今までのメルマガのアドバイスがあったからこそ、とりあえずしゃべり続け終えることができたと思います。
結果はともあれ先生本当にありがとうございます！
家に着き、落ち着いついたら一番最初にしたいことが先生へのお礼のメールを書くことでした。今、本当に2次試験が終わったんだと実感が湧いてまいりました。
どのように感謝をお伝えすべきかわかりませんが、本当に本当にありがとうございます！
私もこれから先生のように寛大な心を持った人物に少しでもなれたらと思います。

I want to tell you about Kusatsu onsen. It is obe of the famous hot springs in Japan. And it is located in Gunma prefecture. We have lots of hot springs in Japan because we have lots of volcanos all over Japan. The reason why I recommend you to visit this onsen is, this onsen is really close to Tokyo. Gunma prefecture is located near Tokyo. The good way to visit here is driving car. It only takes couple of hours from Tokyo.
The one characteristic of Kusatsu onsen is Yumomi. It is performance. Onsen workers make line bothside of hot springs. And tgey have long board in their hands. They roll it in hotspring and keep approximate tempreture in hotspring. Therefore, the hotspring is not too hot and not too cold.
You can enjoy approximate tempreture's hot spring. Originalky, it wasjust job but, people who saw it thought it is realky unique. And this became more and more famous.

（A）You say car is good way, but foreugner does not have car. How can they drive car?
（私）Oh, I have driver's licence. Since I am tour guide,, Ican take you to there.
（A）Haha, thank you. Are you goid driver?
（私）Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
(A) Ok. And foreigners can be shy to be naked in hot spring. Can we wear swimsuit?
(私) Well, you usually cannot wear swimsuit in hot spring. It is considered as rude. For Japanese people, they become naked, put off clothese, an they can talk with even strenger. It is kind of social place. Since you are in Japan, don't be shy. Iam akways with you, so don't worry.
(A) ok. That's all. Thank you.

Today, I'll talk about Arima Onsen, and how to get there. Arima onsen, or hot spring resort, is one of the oldest hot spring resort in Japan. It is characterized by the two kinds of water. One is called “Kinsen”, which contains iron and salt, with brown color. Another one is called “Ginsen”, which contains radium and carbonate, without color. Both are believed to be good for health, and have healing effects for various diseases such as joint pain and muscle problems. It is located in Hyogo prefecture. From Kobe city, it takes about one hour by train or car. Because it is not too far from the city, Arima Onsen is one of the most popular onsen resort in Japan. I hope you have an opportunity to visit Arima Onsen resort while you are in Japan.
●質疑応答の内容
（A) Thank you, I learnt a lot about Arima onsen. Do you believe that hot springs scientifically have benefit for health?
（私) I'm not sure, and I can't really say it is true. But there is a custom in Japan called “Toji”, people stay at onsen resort for healing purpose. So I think it is true.
（A) As a tourist, I'm shy to take a bath with other people in naked. What do you recommend?
（私)Yes, there are some countries where people are not used to take a bath with other people. For them, I recommend Ryokans which have private bath or rooms with private open air bath. Then, you don’t need to take a bath with others.
（A)Is there any good food in Arima?
（私)I'm not sure, but because it is located in mountain area, you can enjoy food in mountains such as fish from river like Ayu, or Sansai like Warabi.
通訳とプレゼンテーションはまずまずの出来でしたが、最後の質問がうまく答えられず、少しパニクってしまいました･･･。有馬温泉は行ったことがないのですが、たまたま読んだ本に載っており、プレゼンテーションの準備というよりも逐次通訳練習の題材として使っていたため、ラッキーでした。ほかのトピックに関してはほとんど知識がないので、命拾いした感じです。他の時間帯の問題に比べると、通訳も比較的容易であったことと、知っているトピックが出されたことで、とてもラッキーだったと思います。
以上
