日本では、お茶を飲むときや、麺類や汁物を食べるときなど、音を立てることがありますが、これは主人に対して、おいしく味わっていることを示すサインであるため、正しいマナーです。

Today, I'll talk about Arima Onsen, and how to get there. Arima onsen, or hot spring resort, is one of the oldest hot spring resort in Japan. It is characterized by the two kinds of water. One is called “Kinsen”, which contains iron and salt, with brown color. Another one is called “Ginsen”, which contains radium and carbonate, without color. Both are believed to be good for health, and have healing effects for various diseases such as joint pain and muscle problems. It is located in Hyogo prefecture. From Kobe city, it takes about one hour by train or car. Because it is not too far from the city, Arima Onsen is one of the most popular onsen resort in Japan. I hope you have an opportunity to visit Arima Onsen resort while you are in Japan.
【5】質疑応答の内容
外国人試験官＝（A）、日本人試験官＝（B)としてください。
（A)Thank you, I learnt a lot about Arima onsen.
Do you believe that hot springs scientifically have benefit for health?
（B)I’m not sure, and I can’t really say it is true. But there is a custom in Japan called “Toji”,people stay at onsen resort for healing purpose. So I think it is true.
（A)As a tourist, I’m shy to take bath with other people in naked. What do you recommend?
（B) Yes, there are some countries where people are not used to take a bath with other people. For them, I recommend Ryokans which have private bath or rooms with private open air bath. Then, you don’t need to take a bath with others.
（A)Is there any good food in Arima?
（B)I’m not sure, but because it is located in mountain area, you can enjoy food in mountains such as fish from river like Ayu, or Sansai like Warabi.
通訳とプレゼンテーションはまずまずの出来でしたが、最後の質問がうまく答えられず、少しパニクってしまいました･･･。有馬温泉は行ったことがないのですが、たまたま読んだ本に載っており、プレゼンテーションの準備というよりも逐次通訳練習の題材として使っていたため、ラッキーでした。ほかのトピックに関してはほとんど知識がないので、命拾いした感じです。他の時間帯の問題に比べると、通訳も比較的容易であったことと、知っているトピックが出されたことで、とてもラッキーだったと思います。
